​1. Interprofessional Simulations

 

The primary goal of these sessions is to improve interdisciplinary and interdepartmental team dynamics, test novel clinical pathways, augment hospital infrastructure and processes, while delivering excellent clinical education for all participants. These events take place within Emergency Department Resuscitation Rooms.  Respiratory therapists, Nurses, ER physicians, Specialist physicians, and Hospital Leadership are invited to participate or observe.

​​​2. ​Nurse Focused Simulations

​

The primary aim of these sessions is to immerse critical-care nursing staff in highly interactive and advanced resuscitation scenarios, providing an unparalleled hands-on experience. By engaging directly in complex situations, nurses not only enhance their roles in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or as leaders of the Rapid Response Team (RRT) and Critical Care Outreach Team (CCOT) but also deepen their understanding of the pathophysiology behind various medical conditions. This unique opportunity not only broadens their critical care knowledge but also sharpens their clinical skills in a supportive, dynamic environment. We invite respiratory therapists and physicians to enrich these sessions further, either by participating or observing, adding to the comprehensive learning experience.

​​​3. ​Physician Only Simulations

​

These sessions emphasize improvement in clinical knowledge, procedural skills and physician group rapport, while providing an avenue to test novel clinical pathways and materials. Sessions can place within the hospital's emergency department, or another area of the hospital such as a learning centre or inpatient room.
